TDI Advanced Nitrox and Decompression Procedure

The TDI Advanced Nitrox and Decompression Procedures (ANDP) course is a comprehensive training program designed for divers who want to extend their dive limits and gain a deeper understanding of advanced nitrox mixtures and decompression diving techniques. This course combines two essential components of technical diving, providing the skills and knowledge required to safely plan and execute dives using nitrox mixes with oxygen content from 21% to 100%, and to conduct staged decompression dives. Ideal for divers looking to explore deeper sites or prepare for more advanced technical diving, the ANDP course emphasizes precision, planning, and safety.

Course Structure:

• Theory Sessions: Over five days, participate in detailed classroom instruction covering dive physics, physiology, decompression theory, and the use of advanced nitrox gases. Learn how to calculate oxygen exposure limits, manage nitrogen absorption, and plan for safe decompression stops.
• Equipment Sessions: Gain hands-on experience with technical diving equipment, including the setup and use of stage cylinders, regulators, and redundant systems. Learn about gas management strategies and the configuration of multiple gases.
• Dive Planning Sessions: Develop skills in dive planning, including calculating gas consumption, planning decompression schedules, and managing contingencies. Emphasis is placed on the use of dive planning software and tables.
• Confined Water Sessions: Practice essential skills in a controlled environment, such as gas switching, buoyancy control, and emergency drills. These sessions build confidence and ensure proficiency with equipment and procedures.
• Open Water Sessions and Boat Dives: Conduct a series of open water dives, including boat dives, to apply the skills learned in theory and confined water sessions. These dives will focus on executing planned decompression dives, gas switching, and managing multiple tanks.

• Advanced Nitrox Diving: Learn to use nitrox mixtures with oxygen content ranging from 40% to 100%, including high oxygen concentrations for decompression.
• Decompression Procedures: Gain a thorough understanding of decompression theory and practice, including the use of staged decompression and gas planning.
• Equipment Mastery: Become proficient with technical diving equipment, including stage cylinders and regulators, ensuring safe and efficient gas management.

Course Requirements:

• Minimum Age: 18 years old.
• Certification Prerequisite: Advanced Open Water Diver certification, Nitrox Diver certification, and a minimum of 25 logged dives.
• Health Requirements: Ability to meet the medical requirements for scuba diving.

Course Duration:

• Total Duration: 5 days, including classroom theory, equipment, dive planning sessions, confined water practice, and open water dives, total 6 dives, the last dive will be 45 meters.
