Product Overview

About This Product

The Thunderbird S06 is a very compact 6 cu ft aluminium cylinder with a 0.9 L water capacity and 207 bar working pressure. At 81 mm in diameter and 283 mm high, it is the smallest Thunderbird body in this range and a practical starting point for auxiliary or pony-size cylinder comparisons.

Compare the S06 with the S13 when you want the next capacity step while staying within Thunderbird’s compact aluminium range. Choose No Valve if you only require the cylinder body and will arrange the appropriate valve separately, or choose D/K Valve to have the valve included.

For divers familiar with Luxfer cylinders, Thunderbird continues the aluminium-cylinder manufacturing heritage of Luxfer’s former Graham, North Carolina operation, acquired by Thunderbird in 2021. Scuba cylinders are dispatched unassembled; the D/K valve is packed separately and is not fitted for transit.

Clear capacity step

Compare the S06 directly with the larger 13 cu ft S13 when physical size and available capacity both matter.

Cylinder questions

What is the difference between No Valve and D/K Valve?

No Valve supplies the cylinder body only. D/K Valve includes one D/K valve, packed separately for shipping.

How does the S06 compare with the S13?

The S06 is the smaller option at 0.9 L and 6 cu ft. The S13 steps up to 1.9 L and 13 cu ft in a wider, taller body.

Does the valve arrive fitted?

No. Scuba cylinders are dispatched unassembled, so the included D/K valve is packed separately for transit.

What is Thunderbird’s connection with Luxfer?

Thunderbird acquired Luxfer’s Graham, North Carolina aluminium-cylinder operation in 2021 and continues that site’s manufacturing heritage.
