Scuba Cylinder Testing Melbourne
Certified scuba cylinder testing for divers across Melbourne and the Mornington Peninsula. Drop your tank into Extreme Watersport for hydrostatic testing, visual inspection and clear local advice.
High-pressure gear deserves proper testing.
Your scuba cylinder is life-support equipment. A valid test is not just a stamp on metal. It helps confirm your tank is safe, compliant and suitable to be filled.
Safety first
We inspect cylinders carefully before they go back into service, including checks that help identify damage, corrosion or other issues.
Fill-ready compliance
Out-of-test cylinders generally cannot be filled. Keeping your test date current keeps your diving plans from turning into sad little bubbles.
Local dive support
Drop your cylinder into our dive shop and we’ll handle the testing process with clear advice if anything needs attention.
Our Cylinder Testing Process
A clear in-house workflow for scuba cylinder inspection, hydrostatic testing, valve servicing, test stamping and return.
External Cylinder Inspection
We check the outside of the scuba cylinder for visible damage, corrosion, dents, markings and general condition before testing.
Internal Visual Inspection
The inside of the cylinder is inspected for internal corrosion, moisture damage, contamination, oxidation or anything that may affect safety.
Hydrostatic Pressure Test
The cylinder is pressure tested through the required hydrostatic testing process to assess its suitability for continued scuba use.
Standard Valve Service
Standard valve servicing is included with our standard cylinder hydro test. Replacement parts, repairs or manifold servicing may incur extra charges.
Test Stamp & Standard Air Fill
If the cylinder passes, it receives an updated test stamp and includes a standard air fill, ready for appropriate scuba use.
Ready for Collection
We’ll let you know when your cylinder is ready, or contact you if rust removal, O2 cleaning or additional servicing is recommended.
Important before you bring it in
Valve servicing and O2 cleaning are separate from standard cylinder testing. If your cylinder is used for nitrox, oxygen service or technical diving, let us know when you drop it off.
