Product overview

About this cylinder

The Catalina S40 is the middle size in this aluminium cylinder range. Its 40 cu ft class identity and 207 bar working pressure place it between the compact S19 and the full-size S80.

The S40 is commonly compared for pony, stage or reserve-cylinder setups where more capacity is wanted than the S19 provides, without moving to an S80-sized cylinder.

Choose With DIN/K Valve if you need the valve supplied with the cylinder, or Without Valve if you only require the cylinder body.

Scuba cylinders are dispatched unassembled for shipping. If you select the valve-equipped version, the DIN/K valve is included but packed separately and is not fitted to the cylinder for transit.

Cylinder questions

What valve configurations are available?

Choose Without Valve or With DIN/K Valve from the Valve Configuration selector.

How does the S40 compare with the S19?

The S40 is the larger format. Compare physical size and the gas reserve required by the intended plan rather than selecting by name alone.

Can the S40 be considered for pony, stage or bailout use?

The S40 is commonly compared for pony, stage or reserve-cylinder setups. Choose capacity as part of your wider gas and equipment plan.

Is this sold as one cylinder?

Yes. Each variant is one Catalina S40 cylinder in the selected Valve Configuration.

Does the valve arrive fitted?

No. With DIN/K Valve includes the valve, but it is packed separately and is not fitted to the cylinder for transit.
