Cressi Giotto Wrist Computer

Some divers simply prefer three dedicated buttons and a large screen over a smaller computer with fewer controls. The Cressi Giotto is for that buyer, particularly when detailed Nitrox adjustment matters underwater. Each input has a clear job, making menu movement and setting changes easier to follow than on Cressi's simpler single-control models.

Giotto provides Air, Nitrox and Gauge modes. For trained enriched-air divers, its Nitrox settings allow oxygen content from 21 to 99 per cent and a PO2 limit from 1.2 to 1.6 bar, leaving room to configure the computer around the analysed mix and planned exposure limit. Gauge mode supplies depth and time information without decompression calculations, so it should be used only with the appropriate training and an independent plan.

Underwater, the high-contrast backlit PCD display organises dive information into distinct areas rather than compressing everything into a watch-sized screen. Key values remain prominent for divers who are comfortable wearing a dedicated dive instrument. The logbook stores up to 70 hours or 60 dives, providing useful history for later review. A separately sold Cressi BT Interface can add compatible phone transfer when required; it is not included with the computer.

Power comes from a user-changeable CR2430 battery. That makes Giotto practical for travel and for divers who prefer carrying a spare rather than relying on an internal charging routine. The replaceable screen protector also gives the most exposed surface a straightforward wear-management option.

Giotto is often the better fit when three-button control, a large organised display and broad Nitrox adjustment matter more than Freediving mode or watch-style size. Donatello offers a simpler interface and adds Freediving mode. Neon is more compact, includes Free mode and supports two gas mixes, while Da Vinci is the step up for four-gas capability, colour data and an integrated compass.
