About This Product

The Halcyon Symbios Tank Pod adds two useful data streams to a compatible Symbios Handset or HUD: live cylinder pressure and, when enabled and calibrated, the diver's trim angle. That makes it more than a conventional pressure transmitter, particularly for sidemount, training and technical setups where balance and cylinder management matter.

It remains a system component rather than an independent instrument. The Pod needs a suitable first-stage high-pressure port, correct installation, pairing with the selected gas or pressure entry and recalibration whenever its orientation on the cylinder changes. A backup pressure gauge is also part of the installation guidance in the official manual.

Does the Tank Pod work by itself?

No. It needs a compatible Halcyon Symbios Handset or HUD to display pressure or trim data.

What does it add besides tank pressure?

It can transmit the diver's trim angle using its built-in 3-axis accelerometer after calibration.

Where is it installed?

In a suitable 7/16-20 UNF high-pressure port on the regulator first stage. Halcyon recommends retaining a backup SPG.

Does the trim sensor need calibration?

Yes. Calibrate it after pairing and whenever the Pod's orientation relative to the cylinder changes.

Which battery does it use?

A user-replaceable CR123 lithium battery.

Can trim transmission be switched off?
