About this product

FUTURE 1000 is the long-endurance model in Seacraft’s 160 mm FUTURE platform. Its fixed 1000 Wh battery supports more than 350 minutes at the published optimal-speed test point and a range above 15.7 km, giving recreational and technical divers a broad working envelope without moving to the larger GHOST body.

The propulsion system is shared with Air-Travel 800: 340 N static thrust, a maximum speed of 1.6 m/s and a 150 m depth rating. The buying decision is therefore not about a faster motor. FUTURE 1000 prioritises energy capacity and duration, while Air-Travel 800 exchanges some endurance for an eight-segment battery intended to simplify travel planning.

One-handed controls, reverse and booster functions, remaining burn-time information, external charging and adjustable trim make FUTURE practical to manage as well as capable in the water. Choose Standard for the core scooter package, or With Power Converter when selectable battery power for compatible external equipment is part of the planned configuration.

Published runtime and range figures use Seacraft testing with a diver in a twin 12 L set and drysuit in fresh water, at approximately 45 m/min for optimal-runtime and range figures. Actual results vary with speed, drag, equipment, conditions and temperature. FUTURE provides gears 1–9, booster and reverse, together with battery and remaining-runtime information. Seacraft publishes operating temperatures from -5°C to +45°C, storage from -25°C to +50°C and charging from +10°C to +40°C.

FUTURE 1000 scooter complete set, fixed 1000 Wh battery, U1054 240 W charger, spare-parts and consumables set, protective foam insert and shipping carton. The With Power Converter variant adds the installed converter; the matching E/O output cable is selected separately for the intended equipment connection.

FUTURE 1000 suits the diver who wants the performance and control system of the FUTURE platform with the greatest duration available in its current 160 mm range. If regular air travel with the battery is central to the purchase, compare Air-Travel 800; if significantly longer duration and a larger 208 mm platform are required, compare GHOST 1500.

Should I choose FUTURE 1000 or Air-Travel 800?

Choose FUTURE 1000 for its higher-capacity fixed battery and longer published runtime and range. Choose Air-Travel 800 when an eight-segment modular battery better suits transport and travel planning.

What does the Power Converter option add?

It adds selectable 6–12 V power output for compatible external equipment from the scooter battery system. The suitable Seacraft E/O output cable is selected separately for the intended connection.

Does the Power Converter change scooter performance?

The core battery, propulsion, speed, thrust, range and depth figures remain those of FUTURE 1000. The option changes the external-power capability and package code.

How should I interpret the runtime and range?

The published figures use Seacraft testing at approximately 45 m/min with a twinset-and-drysuit diver in fresh water. Speed, drag, equipment, temperature and water conditions affect real-world results.

What charger is supplied?

The current Australian complete-set package includes the U1054 240 W charger.

What is the normal lead time?

FUTURE 1000 is a special-order product with a usual lead time of 2–3 weeks. Contact us before ordering if timing is important.
